Lucas Novais holds a master’s degree in African studies from the EIMAS (European Interdisciplinary Master African Studies) program, an Erasmus Master’s degree (EMJMD) that includes the University of Porto, Universität Bayreuth and Université Bordeaux-Montaigne. Lucas also holds a degree in Philosophy from the Universidade São Judas Tadeu, where he was a full scholarship holder. His professional experience consists of 10+ years in the area of Customer Experience.
Based on the interdisciplinarity of the EIMAS program, he dedicated himself to cultural anthropology, presenting an autoethnographic dissertation that aimed to understand the (possible) impacts of an urban quilombo in São Paulo on the cultural identity(ies) of those who visit it.
He is currently a scholarship holder at Passeio, an art and urban culture platform linked to CECS. His current interests continue to be linked to the themes of urban anthropology, cultural identity, ethnoraciality and sense of belonging in the world.
