Luciana Fernandes is currently working at the Rectory of the University of Porto, particularly within the scope of managing funded projects and in contexts of interinstitutional collaboration.
Recently, she worked as an invited assistant teacher at the Department of Letters, Arts and Communication (UTAD), and her teaching area was Journalism, regarding written press, television and radio to master and degree students.
Her main research interests are health journalism, TV journalism and news sources analysis.
She holds a PhD on Health TV journalism from University of Minho. Her initial research career was linked to television news programs scenarios and to the health journalism regarding newspaper information. She has several publications on national and international journals and books, also presenting several communications along her research career.
