PhD in Sociology and Master in Sociology of Health at the University of Minho, has areas of interest such as Health, Sustainability, Aging and Public Policies. Her research work has focused on topics such as Alcohol and drug use, Peer education, Aging and Action research. She has articulated her activity as a scientific researcher at the CECS with professional activity in social intervention organizations.
Among others, she is a member of the European Society for Social Drug Research and the group “R3 – Reduced Network Risks”. In 2003 she won a merit scholarship from the Porto School of Education. One of his publications is: “Peer Education: Criticism of a Social Intervention Strategy” (ISSN 2182-7672).
