Paulo Carvalho Ferreira (Barcelos, 1999) is a PhD student in Cultural Studies at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho, for which he has been investigating the production of meaning, the construction of memories and the materialization of identities in music. He began his musical studies at the age of eight, completing the 8th degree at the conservatory in 2017 and the Degree in Music in 2020, at the University of Minho in the vocational area of Instrument – Transverse Flute.

At the same time, he completed his degree in Cultural Studies in the same year and institution. In July 2022, he presented the internship report entitled “Meanings of Music: playing and writing in the disciplines of Transverse Flute and Ensemble Class”, being awarded the title of master in Music Teaching by the University of Minho and for which is qualified to teach Transversal Flute and Ensemble Music subjects in all teaching cycles of Portuguese schools.
