PhD in Geography at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, professionally qualified in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Trainer certified by the Scientific and Pedagogical Council for Continuous Training and the Institute for Employment and Professional Education.
He is a member of the Portuguese Association of Geographers (APG) Board and recently completed post-doctorate in the Department of Social Sciences, Politics and territory of the University of Aveiro, coordinating research on the theme of territorial cohesion, especially in its association with territorial-based innovation processes.
He is the author of more than 80 scientific publications, participates in several scientific research projects, and has collaborated in pedagogical activities in the geography courses of the University of Porto, University of Coimbra and Federal University of Pelotas, or at Porto Business School. He develops research on topics related to urban geography, GIS, governance, planning, tourism and spatial planning.
