Rodrigo Portella carries out a Post-doc project in CSRC, under the supervision of Prof. Joaquim Costa, which is intitled “The senses os Holy Maria: scenes and meanings in the historical development of Marian Mercy”, funded by a fellowship of Brazilian Science Foundation CAPES. This project intends to analyse, through several Portuguese and Brazilian data, some of the main meanings that Holy Maria has been keeping throughout history.

Rodrigo Portella has a PhD in Science Religion by the University Federal de Juiz de Fora – Brazil – (2005-2009), after a research mission in the University of Minho, from 2007 to 2008. Lecturer in the University Federal de Juiz de Fora, Portella has participated in the Degree and Master Programmes of Human Sciences and Science Religion in this institution.

Research period in CSRC: from September 2015 to February 2016 (six months).
