Sara Matos holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Minho (2020). Her PhD thesis is entitled “Challenges for the protection of genetic data in the fight against crime within the Prüm system”. Her research aimed to map the debate around data protection versus surveillance and the compression of individual rights.
