Silvia Roca-Baamonde was in the CECS to proceed into her European PhD research project, in collaboration between the University of Minho and in the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Her work was intitled “Galician people representations in the cinema”, and was supervised by Rosa Cabecinhas.
Silvia’s research belongs to the identity and cultural studies field, thus evaluating stereotypes and discourses in the media, in order to assess how Galicia society is portrayted in the cinema.
Research period in the CECS: 2nd May 2016 to 15th September 2016.
