He received his PhD in Communication Sciences from ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa in 2024. His research areas focus on media studies, associated with emotion studies (fear), terrorism studies (corroborating the CTS approach) and surveillance studies. His research interests focus on the aforementioned areas of research, in areas associated with the quality of information, media literacy, fact-checking and data journalism. In methodological terms, he favors qualitative research, namely content analysis, framing analysis and critical discourse analysis.
He is a member of the research team of the CECS Barometer for Information Quality (BIP).
