Assistant Professor at the Department of Geography, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho. With a 24-year university career, she has developed work in the field of Geomorphology, in particular Karst Geomorphology and Fluvial Geomorphology; Natural Risks in an Urban Environment, namely in the mapping of susceptibility and vulnerability to floods; Risk Perception; Climate Change and Spatial Planning and also on Geomorphological Heritage and new territorial readings through virtual territories (geocaching).
Member of the National Geography Commission and Member of the Board of the Portuguese Association of Geomorphologists (APGeom), with the role of treasurer.
