PhD in Sociology from the University of Minho, Luísa Alexandra Martins Fernandes was one of the winning researchers at the XXIV Prize for Social Sciences, from the Vicente Risco Foundation, as a reflection of the quality of her doctoral research produced at the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS).
Luísa Fernandes developed her doctoral thesis “Organizational Action and Quality of Life. A comparative study of Northern Portugal and Galicia in the field of Mental Disability ”, under the guidance of Carlos Veiga, professor in the Department of Sociology at UMinho and researcher at CECS.
The presentation session of the awarded works has yet to be defined, with the month of November being pointed out for a solemn session at UTAD.
Remember, this is already the second prize that the researcher receives for her PhD thesis. In January, Luísa Fernandes won the “António Dornelas 2019 Award”.
