The third session of the PhD Seminars 2016-2017 edition is scheduled for Friday, April 21. It starts at 10h30 at Sala de Atos – Institute of Social Sciences. These seminars are organised by CECS and the Department of Communication Sciences.
The speakers of this session are J. Paulo Serra* (“The problem of time in research”)* and Rita Ribeiro (“Listening to the voices: to narrate, to interpret, to rescue”)**.

* J. Paulo Serra – Full Professor at the University of Beira Interior in the Department of Communication and Arts and researcher at the R&D unit Labcom.IFP – Communication, Philosophy and Humanities. President of the Faculty of Arts and Letters and scientific coordinator of Labcom.IFP, UBI. President of the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences (Sopcom).
** Rita Ribeiro – Lecturer of the Department of Sociology, Institute of Social Sciences-University of Minho. PhD in Sociology and Master in Anthropology. She is a researcher at the CECS, where she develops research in the field of sociology of culture. She is vice-president of this Research Center.
