Book Vozes plurais: a comunicação das organizações da sociedade civil presented in Braga and Lisbon

The book Vozes plurais: a comunicação das organizações da sociedade civil (Documenta / Sistema Solar), coordinated by the CECS researcher and lecturer at the Lusófona University of Porto Carla Cerqueira and by Sónia Lamy, a researcher at CIC-Digital and a professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, was presented in Braga and Lisbon. Two moments of discussion that brought the perspectives of academia and civil society organizations.

On January 19, the Centésima Página bookstore in Braga hosted the presentation of the work, which was led by Ana Melo, a researcher at CECS and a professor at the University of Minho and Sofia Neves, president of API-Associação Plano I. The session provided a reflection on the importance of communication in this type of organizations, as well as the difficulties experienced in everyday life. The presenters of the book underlined the fact that it prompted action, translating into a form of academic activism.

On January 26 was the turn of Ler Devagar bookstore in Lisbon to host the presentation of the book, led by Carlos Camponez, a professor at the University of Coimbra, and Sandra Nascimento, president of APSI – Association for the Promotion of Child Safety. The complexity of the area encompassing the Third Sector was greatly discussed during the presentation, in which emphasis was placed on the relevance of public interest communication, which raises a number of issues of ethical concern.

This book intends to contribute to the reflection about the way in which it interacts with the various publics, internal and external, within the scope of the Third Sector, from the compilation of several research works that give the voice to 16 authors, who discuss the specificities of communication in this field.
