A roundtable on feminism, composed of women who work in the production of scientific knowledge and in the field, will be held at October 11, starting at 4:30 p.m., at the Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library in Braga, that integrates the next Permanent Seminar of Communication and Diversity of the CECS. This is a joint session organized by the CECS, the Feminist University and Civitas Braga.
The main objective of the event, which brings together different organizations, is to broaden the debate with the community about feminisms. As it is a proposal in partnership with the Feminist University, this one aims to decentralize the actions of the Feminist University beyond the region of Lisbon, allowing to foment the debate in the region of Braga. Thus, the purpose of a roundtable is to promote a dialogue between different voices of people in a feminist perspective.
The session will be attended by the researcher and teacher of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto Conceição Nogueira, the researcher and teacher of the Institute of Letters and Human Sciences of the University of Minho Ana Gabriela Macedo, activist of the collective Braga Outside the wardrobe and professor of ISAVE – Liliana Rodrigues Higher Institute of Health, UMAR activist Tatiana Mendes and activist of the Collective Zanele Muholi of Black Lesbians and Bisexuals and doctoral student of the Doctoral Program in Cultural Studies by the Universities of Minho and Aveiro Geanine Escobar.
The event will be led by Camila Craveiro, CAPES scholarship holder and doctoral student in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho and Carla Cerqueira, a researcher at the Center for Communication and Society Studies (CECS) and a lecturer at the Lusófona University of Porto.
