CECS project approved by FCT

Professor Sara Pereira coordinates a project in the area of ​​Media and Communication, which has just been approved for funding by FCT.

On 6 November, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) released the results of the IC&DT Project Call in all scientific domains. To this call, the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) submitted 18 applications in the areas of Communication, Sociology, Geography and History, all of which were considered eligible and obtained a good evaluation. However, of these applications, only four were approved for funding, all in the area of Communication.

Sara Pereira, a CECS researcher, coordinates a project in the area of ​​Media and Communication, which has just been approved for funding by FCT. On 6 November, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) released the results of the IC&DT Project Call in all scientific domains. To this call, the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) submitted 18 applications in the areas of Communication, Sociology, Geography and History, all of which were considered eligible and obtained a good evaluation. In the “Media and Communication” panel, only four projects were approved, one of them from CECS. Of the winning applications, two of them are also coordinated by members of the CECS team.

Created in 2015 by the Visual Culture Working Group of the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences (Sopcom), Vista is now being edited by the Communication and Society Research Centre. With a permanent call for papers, Vista accepts proposals for original and unpublished academic papers on topics related to the objectives and scope of the journal, in the form of articles, visual projects, reviews and interviews.
