The call for Scientific Employment Stimulus (3rd Edition), from the Foundation for Science and Technology, is open until February 26th. The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) released the result of the evaluation of the call for scientific research and technological development projects (IC&DT) for the promotion of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary R&D activities to be carried out in the Montesinho Natural Park region. Of the 60 applications submitted to the competition, 6 were recommended for funding. This volume of Comunicação e Sociedade focuses on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and aims at gathering researchers from different geographies in thinking about Health Journalism and Health Communication within a global health crisis. Nowadays, the diversity of media platforms, the change in habits of media consumption, or the increase of fake news and disinformation bring renewed challenges to the fields of Health Journalism and Health Communication. On December 23, 2020, the University of Aveiro awarded the International Prize in Cultural Studies Virgínia Quaresma in the Career and Best Doctoral Thesis in Cultural Studies modalities.
