Last Monday, June 24, the Foundation for Science and Technology released the results of the Evaluation of R&D Units.
The Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) of the University of Minho was evaluated as Excellent, having obtained the maximum score in all evaluation parameters.
CECS in the Feira do Livro de Braga’2019
The Communication and Society Research Centre will be present at the Feira do Livro de Braga'2019 with the participation of two round tables, thought out of two intervention platforms of the centre: the Virtual Museum of Lusophony and Communitas.
Seminar on journalism practiced by alternative means in audiovisual content
The next session of the Permanent Seminar on Communication and Diversity will take place on July 1, at 2:30 pm, in the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho. Entitled "On one hand only: journalism practiced by alternative means in audiovisual content", this session is attended by Kamila Bossato Fernandes, a researcher from CECS who will analyze content from 45 videos produced by 25 alternative media groups from Brazil, Portugal and Spain. Moderation will be by Sylvia Moretzsohn, a former journalist and postdoctoral fellow at CECS.

PhD viva of Manuel Ferreira da Costa
On July 3, at 2:30 p.m., in the Institute of Social Sciences, will take place de Ph.D. viva in Cultural Studies of Manuel Ferreira da Costa.
Ana Claudia Nepote: “this internship has served a lot to get to know the field of study in science communication in Portugal”
Ana Claudia Nepote, a biologist from the University of Guadalajara and a Master of Marine Ecology from CICESE, is a Ph.D. in Sustainability Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and spent a month at CECS for a Ph.D. internship.
