The University of Minho (UMinho) and the main European Communication Science Research Association, European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), signed on October 3, at the Rectory of the University of Minho, the protocol of understanding on the organization of the 8th European Communication Conference. ECREA 2020 will take place at the University of Minho from 2 to 5 October 2020. On November 5, at the University of Beira Interior, the International Seminar "Memory, Diversity and Identities: Challenges to Intercultural Relations in the 21st Century" will take place. The seminar aims to promote the sharing of scientific works and critical reflection on the role played by cultural, artistic and educational products in the reconstruction of cultural memory. It also aims to promote debate on the processes by which certain narratives are created and disseminated in society, as well as on the processes of reception of artistic, cultural and educational products, exploring the way that people (re)interpret them. The International Seminar "Memory, Diversity and Identities: Challenges for Intercultural Relations in the 21st Century" brings together an interdisciplinary team of Mozambican and Portuguese researchers, who carry out research under the project: "Memories, cultures and identities: how the past weights on the present-day intercultural relations im Mozambique and Portugal?"
