In the context of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus COVID-19, the University of Minho (UMinho) activated a Commission for the Elaboration and Management of the Internal Contingency Plan.
In the current situation of suspension of activities at the UMinho, the suspension of conferences, seminars, ceremonies, and events of a similar nature throughout the University was determined.
The CECS Science and Technology Management team remains in office, despite being limited to the current teleworking conditions. Support for CECS researchers will, therefore, be provided via email.

PolObs: Pandemia emphasizes need to think about support for the press
At a time when the press financing difficulties are being discussed again, PolObs has just released a policy paper signed by Elsa Costa e Silva, who advocates the development of support policies for newspapers. For the CECS researcher, "the question is not whether the State should intervene, but in what dimension and in what modalities it should intervene".
