The MigraMediaActs project launches the book ‘Migration and Communication in the Global Age: Debates and Actions’
‘Migration and Communication in the Planetary Age: Debates and Actions’, edited by Rosa Cabecinhas, Luiza Lins and Isabel Macedo, has just been published in partnership with CECS and Uminho Editora. The book marks the conclusion of the MigraMediaActs project, bringing together studies and critical reflections on migration and communication, within the framework of the international conference ‘Migration and Communication in the Planetary Era: Debates and Actions’, held in April 2025.
New PhD in Sociology: Mariana Carvalho Soares
Mariana Carvalho Soares’s PhD Viva in Sociology took place on April 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the Auditorium of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho. The thesis, supervised by Vera Duarte and José Cunha Machado, is titled “Adolescence and the mistreatment of companion animals: a sociological portrait.”
CONCILIARE in an open class as part of the “Reflections on Visual Culture” series in Batalha Cinema Centre
