
Connecting Commutes: Partnership CECS and Braga 25
The Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture's artistic project, Trajetos Comunicantes (Connecting Commutes), began its official program on March 24th, which runs until November of this year. This is an initiative in partnership with the CECS and the Audire research group, and the other main partner is the Braga Public Transport Company (TUB), which has made a total of 12 vehicles available for the actions planned in the program.
Ibero-American Conversations with Observatories: Twelfth Session
The twelfth session of the Ibero-American Conversations with Observatories will take place on 17 March at 5pm. It will take place online via Zoom. The conversation will feature Laura Elena Román García, Observatorio de Políticas Culturales, Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México, from Mexico, and Juan Pablo Carvallo, Observatorio Cultural de la Universidad de Cuena, from Ecuador.
CECS/PolObs Seminar: ‘Regulation of digital platforms: challenges and critical perspectives’

Film Cycle “(About) Experiences in an Inhospitable World. Views on exclusion and resistance”
CECS’s Migramedia Acts project has teamed up with LuckyStar-Cineclube de Braga and the Citizens’ Forum for the Eradication of Poverty – Braga for a film series that will take place on Tuesday evenings in April at the Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library (at 9:30 pm).

E-Monitoring Final Conference: “Electronic Surveillance: Present and Future Challenges”
The final conference of the E-Monitoring project will be held on May 9, with the theme “Electronic Surveillance: Present and Future Challenges”. Organized by the E-Monitoring project, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology under the Restart programme (2023.00030.RESTART) and based at the Centre for Communication and Society Studies at the University of Minho, this conference proposes a critical reflection on the challenges of electronic surveillance.

Open Class ‘Marquês de Pombal: Realisations, receptions and mythifications’
On 25 March, at 11am, in classroom 0.08 of building 3 at the University of Minho, an open lecture will be held on the theme ‘Marquês de Pombal: Achievements, receptions and mythifications’. This event will feature a presentation by José Eduardo Franco, from the Centre for Global Studies at Universidade Aberta, and will be organised by Andreia Durães, from the History Department of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho.

An open lecture on “The Portuguese aristocracy in the Bragança dynasty” will be held on April 8 at 11 a.m. in room 0.08 of building 3 of the University of Minho. This event will feature a presentation by Nuno Gonçalo Monteiro, from the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon, and is organized by Andreia Durães, from the History Department of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho.
