New doctor in Communication Sciences: Alice Campos

Maria Alice Campos’ doctoral dissertation in Communication Sciences took place on 20 June at 2pm in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho. The thesis, supervised by Helena Sousa, is entitled ‘Disinformation in an electoral context: analysing the main disinformation narratives of the 2022 Brazilian presidential election campaign’.

The jury, chaired by Felisbela Lopes, was made up of:

Helena Costa de Carvalho e Sousa, Full Professor at the Department of Communication Sciences of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
João Manuel Messias Canavilhas, Full Professor at the Department of Communication, Philosophy and Politics of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Beira Interior;
Maria Madalena da Costa Oliveira, Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
Maria Elsa Sousa Costa e Silva de Morais, Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
Liziane Soares Guazina, Associate Professor, Department of Organisational Communication, Faculty of Communication, University of Brasilia.
