New publication: Children, Young People and the Media: (Dis)Connected Lives? Proceedings of the bYou Congress

Today sees the launch of the Proceedings of the bYou Congress, which took place on 7 and 8 February 2025 at the University of Minho. The event brought together researchers, journalists, educators, students and protagonists of the current dynamics of information mediation in Braga.
The event also marked the conclusion of bYou – Study of Children and Young People’s Experiences and Expressions of the Media, which presented the results of research carried out over the project’s four years. In the words of the editors, the publication that is now available contributes to the debate on children, young people and the media, in a commitment to promoting media literacy and the civic participation of young people.
