New CECS publication: “Sustainability and decarbonisation: practical challenges”

Sustainability and decarbonisation: practical challenges is the title of the most recent book published by CECS, in the Series Territories and Communities.

Edited by Emília Araújo, Márcia Silva and Rita Ribeiro, this publication seeks to “gather contributions that make it possible to know ongoing projects that, in a multidisciplinary perspective, contribute to sustainability and decarbonisation”, as well as “make known methodologies and practical recommendations, both to institutions, or the public in general, on the adoption of sustainable policies and behaviors “.

The publishers recall that “the promotion of sustainability is at the heart of the UN’s objectives for the millennium” and, “for this purpose to become a reality, namely with regard to the decarbonisation and adoption of sustainable practices, it is necessary to increase the culture and the promotion of public participation in science and technology, involving populations in the diagnosis and definition of good practices and behavioral change “.

The book is available online.
