The book of proceedings of the X Doctoral Conferences of the CECS focusing on the Research Challenges in the Social Sciences: The Social and Scientific Relevance of Doctoral Projects. has just been published. The book is available in open access.
“In this book, the social sciences field of knowledge is questioned from the perspective of eight young researchers developing their doctorates and their supervisors based on different disciplinary approaches, namely communication sciences, cultural studies, geography and sociology. The interdisciplinary approach of this work thus has the potential to enrich academic knowledge, while reiterating the relevance of integrating different theoretical perspectives, analytical approaches and methodological options to reflect on relevant contemporary issues, promoting critical and reflective analysis which, in line with the mission of the Communication and Society Research Centre, aims to contribute to social and cultural development and encourage the promotion of sustainable societies”.
