New Doctor in Communication Sciences: Crisvalter Medeiros

Crisvalter Rogério de Araújo Medeiros’s PhD Viva in Communication Sciences took place on 8 April in the Conference Room of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho, at 2pm.

The thesis, supervised by Sara Pereira and Manuel Pinto, is entitled ‘The educommunication interface and extension actions: a study of a higher education institution in Brazil (IFPB)’.

The jury, chaired by Felisbela Lopes, was made up of:

. Sara Jesus Gomes Pereira, Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
. Teresa Augusta Ruão Correia Pinto, Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
. Sara Teixeira Rego Oliveira Balonas, Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication Sciences of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
. Ismar de Oliveira Soares, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Communications and Arts of the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo, Brazil;
. Mónica Fantin, Full Professor at the Centre for Educational Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil;
. Dimas Brasileiro Veras, Professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco – IFPE, Brazil.
