New doctor in Communication Sciences: Mateus Dellarmelin

Mateus Luan Dellarmelin’s PhD exams in Communication Sciences took place today, 27 January.
The thesis, supervised by Jean Rabot, André Lemos and Moisés Martins, is entitled “Materiality(ies) of Online Friendship in the Context of the Use of Social Networking Sites from the Perspective of Older People” and was argued in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho.

The jury, chaired by Felisbela Lopes, was made up of:

– Anabela Maria Gradim Alves, Associate Professor, Department of Communication, Philosophy and Politics, Faculty of Arts and Letters, University of Beira Interior;
– Maria Elsa Sousa Costa e Silva de Morais, Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– Jean Martin Marie Rabot, Retired Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– Alberto Manuel Teixeira de Sá, Assistant Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– Ana Guilhermina Seixas Duarte Melo, Assistant Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– Pedro Daniel Rodrigues da Costa, Assistant Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Lusófona University.
