New doctor in Communication Sciences: Valdeci Gama

On 14 July, at 2 p.m., in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho, Valdeci Ribeiro da Gama defended his doctoral thesis in Communication Sciences. The thesis, supervised by Jean-Martin Rabot and Moisés de Lemos Martins, is entitled ‘Seeing with the senses: digital media as a condition of possibility for the visually impaired’.

The jury, chaired by Felisbela Lopes, was composed of:

José Gabriel de Oliveira Andrade Júnior, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
Jean-Martin Marie Rabot, Retired Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
Sara Teixeira Rego de Oliveira Balonas, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
Pedro José Ermida Figueiredo Fernandes Portela, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
Pedro Daniel Rodrigues da Costa, Assistant Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Lusófona University;
Maria Ignês Carlos Magno, Permanent Professor, Postgraduate Programme in Communication, Anhembi Morumbi University, Brazil.
