New PhD programmes in Cultural Studies validated by A3ES – applications open

The new PhD degree in Cultural Studies has been totally renewed and improved, certified by A3ES – Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior (Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education). The PhD in Cultural Studies is a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary program coordinated by the Social Sciences Institute (ICS) – in association with CECS  -, in collaboration with the Institute of Arts and Humanities (ILCH). The applications are open (1st period: until June 19; 2nd period: until September 8, for remaining vacancies).

Suitable criterias for candidates:

1. Masters Degree;
2. Graduation Degree or a relevant academic curriculum that is recognized as a proof of the competences and skills to be evaluated by Scientific Council of the Institute of Social Sciences;
3. Register an academic, scientific and professional curriculum that might be recognized as appropriate to accomplish the PhD Program by Scientific Council of the Institute of Social Sciences.

Application timeline:

1st period: until June 19

2nd period: until September 8 (remaining vacancies)

School Calendar & Schedule:

Classes will take place on Friday (all day). It is expected to start in October.

Duration:

Six (6) semesters
