New Creative Europe Programme 2021-2027 presented at POLObs Seminar

The Permanent Seminar The New Creative Europe 21-27 – European Funding for the Cultural and Creative Sectors will take place on 2 August, at 4 p.m., hosted by Sara Machado, responsible for the cultural sector of the Creative Europe Information Centre.

Under the new Creative Europe Programme, in the cultural sector, the innovations focus on sector-specific needs in music, literature, architecture, cultural heritage, design, fashion and cultural tourism; a stronger emphasis on European transnational creation, circulation of works and innovation in the cultural and creative sectors; a tailor-made mobility programme for artists and professionals; and easier access to funding from the Creative Europe Programme.

Sara Machado has a degree in Information Science and a Master’s in Cultural Management at the Carlos III University of Madrid. She is responsible for the cultural sector of the Creative Europe Information Centre. Previously she collaborated with different organisations in different countries: Escena Contemporánea e Ministério da Cultura [ES], European Cultural Foundation [NL], Pearle* Live Performance Europe [BE], Performing Arts Portugal e EIRA / CUMPLICIDADES – Festival Internacional de Dança Contemporânea de Lisboa [PT]. Fellow do ISPA – International Society for the Performing Arts [USA], do Tandem Shaml [DE], da ASEF – Asia Europe Foundation “Mobility First” [SG] e do Producers Academy [BE].
