The Permanent Seminar “From democratization to cultural democracy: the National Arts Plan and the Charter of Porto Santo”, promoted by the Observatory for Science, Communication and Culture Policies (PolObs/CECS) from the University of Minho, takes place on June 14th, at 4 p.m..
In this session, the Commissioner for the National Arts Plan, Paulo Pires do Vale, reflects on the recommendations, guidelines and the relationship between the strategic principles of the PNA and the Charter of Porto Santo as a guidance document for major decisions of the European States in the areas of Culture and Education.
Paulo Pires do Vale has a degree and a Masters in Philosophy from the FCSH of the University of Lisbon. He is a lecturer, essayist and curator. Since 2019 he is a commissioner of the National Arts Plan.
