The book Transartes, arte expandida e novas linguagens, edited by the coordinators of Passeio, Helena Pires and Zara Pinto-Coelho, will be presented on July 13, at 7 pm, at the 30th Braga Book Fair (Altice Forum).
How to read contemporary art? What lies behind new experimentations, risks, subversions, wanderings that animate the arts – or the forms of (re)creating – in contemporaneity? The book seeks to promote a broad and transdisciplinary view, based on contributions from different academics and artists, to foster an understanding of the transformations in contemporary art, the expansion of its limits and the hybridisation that characterises new languages in this area.
The book’s theme is in line with the 30th Braga Book Fair proposal, held between July 9 to 25. This edition devoted to the B-Sides of Culture will focus on the most innovative trends, those who have broken boundaries and taboos and the themes that are still out of the limelight. Braga has always stood out as a city with a solid alternative culture, a place of innovative ideas, creation and affirmation of a cultural proposal.
