PolObs is partnering with the United Nations University (UNI-EGOV) to organise the Digital 4Culture workshop (Understanding the Relationship between Digital Technologies and Cultural Heritage), which will take place on 17 September at 6 p.m. at the Martins Sarmento Museum in Guimarães.
In addition to identifying opportunities and developing research topics, the event has two main objectives:
a) To promote debate and the sharing of case studies and best practices among professionals and academics in the cultural field, identifying risks and opportunities for digital technologies to support the study, protection, safeguarding, monitoring and accessibility of cultural heritage and experiences;
b) To launch NOCUI, a universal online index for culture that measures the reach and quality of culture’s digital presence and its impact on people and communities, with the announcement of pilot projects.
In addition to the in-person format, it is possible to participate online by registering via this link.
