“Portugal in (and during the) WWI”

The CECS is associated to the International Conference “Portugal in (and during the) WWI”, which will be realized between April 19-20, at Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). The event is organized by the Department of Letters, Arts and Communication of UTAD, together with the Center for Transdisciplinary Research “Culture, Space and Memory” (CITCEM) and intends to point out the centenary of the first major armed conflict, on a world scale, through reflection on areas such as the memories and textual representations of the WWI, scientific evolution, communication and portraits related to this historical period and issues related to Religion and their role during the war.
