UMinho Prize for Initiation in Scientific Research

Applications for the “UMinho Prize for Initiation in Scientific Research” are open until April 20.

This Prize seeks to bring students from the 1st cycle closer to real contexts of scientific research, including them in research teams that work on the creation of new and relevant knowledge.

Selected students will have the opportunity to engage in supervised research activities. Winners will also receive a certificate and a cash value of 500 euros.

Applications are accepted for the following projects:

• “Routes and trajectories of doctoral students at the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho”, coordinated by Emília Araújo;
• “FESTIVity – Party, cultural heritage and community sustainability. Investigation and communication in the case of Bugiada and Mouriscada de Sobrado”, coordinated by Rita Ribeiro;
• “The coronavirus on Twitter in Portugal – actors, themes and information dissemination networks”, coordinated by Luís António Santos;
• “Images and narratives of interculturality: young people, cinema and history”, coordinated by Moisés de Lemos Martins.

Interested students must complete the form available and send it to cecs@ics.uminho.pt.
