The 8th edition of the International Showcase of Anti-Racist Cinema (MICAR) will occur between 8 and 10 October, at the Rivoli Theatre, in Porto. The “Cultures, Past & Present” project, developed at the CECS, has joined institutional partnerships to support the organisation of the event.
The MICAR programme includes screenings of films that focus on racism, immigration and ethnic minorities, as well as an exhibition of posters. During the three days of the event it is also possible to follow debates with the participation of guests.
The promoter of the International Anti-Racist Film Showcase is SOS Racism, which has organised, in the city of Porto, the only film showcase of its kind in Portugal since 2014.
The event has the support of the Porto City Council and the Rivoli Municipal Theatre, where the screenings take place.
