VirtualActor – Development of a software framework for animating 3D virtual characters

Integrated in the area of Informatics and Computing Engineering, this project intended to study the virtual actores in 3D environments, the interaction between computers and players. The partners of this initiative were the CCG (Computer Graphics Centre) and the Zentrum für Graphische Datenverarbeitung (Germany), and research centre Algoritmi, in the University of Minho, was handling the coordination of the project. The overall budget was 112.000 euros.

CECS researcher Nelson Zagalo was part of the team.
