Dalvacir Xavier de Oliveira Andrade’s doctoral exams in Communication Sciences will take place on 24 October 2025, at 2 p.m., in the Assembly Hall of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho.
The thesis, supervised by Helena Sousa and André Lemos, is entitled ‘Youtubers and Migration: The socio-technical communication dynamics of the digital work of Brazilian immigrants in Portugal.’
The jury, chaired by Felisbela Lopes, is composed of:
– Helena Sousa, Full Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
– Rosa Cabecinhas, Associate Professor with Aggregation in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
– José Gabriel Andrade Júnior, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– Alberto Sá, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– Manuel Escudero, Full Professor in the Department of Journalism at the University of Malaga;
– Issaaf Karhawi, Assistant Professor in the School of Communication and Arts at the University of São Paulo, Brazil.
