PhD Viva of Jorge Garrido

Jorge Rafael Martins Garrido’s PhD exams in Cultural Studies will be held on 27 January in the Conference Room of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho, at 9.15am.
The thesis, supervised by João Sarmento, is entitled ‘Mozambique: democracy, culture and peace’.

The jury, chaired by Felisbela Lopes, is made up of:

– Maria Rosa Soares Pedrosa Cabecinhas, Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– José Fernando Bessa Ribeiro, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– João Carlos Vicente Sarmento, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
– João Luís Jesus Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography and Tourism, Faculty of Letters, University of Coimbra;
– Sheila Pereira Khan, Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário do Porto and Integrated Researcher at CICANT – Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies.
