PhD Viva of Marina Silva

Marina Maria Soares Silva’s PhD Viva in Communication Sciences will take place on 17 November 2025, at 10 a.m., in the Assembly Hall of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho. The thesis, supervised by Luís António Santos, is entitled ‘Combating misinformation: the representations of primary and secondary school teachers as a basis for intervention.’

The jury, chaired by Felisbela Lopes, is composed of:

-Manuel Pinto, Retired Professor of the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
-Sara Pereira, Associate Professor with Aggregation of the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;
-Maria José Brites, Associate Professor with Aggregation at the School of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies at Lusófona University;
-Fábio Ribeiro, Associate Professor in the Department of Letters at the School of Human and Social Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro;
-Luís Santos, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;
-Pedro Portela, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho.
