It is not difficult to understand why artificial intelligence is one of the hot topics of the moment. Bots and (supposedly) autonomous systems capture our attention with the same intensity with which they raise uncertainties about the risks and impacts they will have on the world of work and social life. Based on communication studies, this book joins other efforts to understand what some consider to be a watershed moment in the history of humanity and the planet itself. The solution is not to ask artificial intelligence, as this book discusses applied ethics, morality, and transformations in communication processes. Human authors respond to this and other issues of media ethics.
