“The present reflection on the thematic of the Sea is based on the Anthropological Structures of the Imaginary elaborated by the French sociologist and anthropologist Gilbert Durand (1969). This author approaches the constructions of the imaginary from a social and poetic point of view, based on the historical and mythical narratives that build the collective identity. By highlighting certain structures of thought common to all humankind, Durand demonstrates the importance of the imaginary for the social construction of the present reality”.
