This book recognises school media as privileged spaces for giving children and young people a voice and promoting media literacy in an educational context. Based on a study carried out in 12 primary and secondary schools as part of the bYou project, it analyses the role of these media in promoting participation, expression and critical learning about the media and the world. The book also brings together a set of strategies to foster and diversify the journalistic approach in school media, as well as various proposals and resources for its promotion. School media are presented here as laboratories of citizenship, capable of contributing to a more democratic, inclusive school that is prepared for the challenges of the digital age.
