This book results from several studies developed during the preparation of the programme that will follow the Portugal 2020 programme within the Observatory of Science, Communication and Culture Policies (POLObs), of the Communication and Society Research Centre of the University of Minho. It includes 12 studies on national and international structuring documents.
The research focuses on the guidelines and frameworks of culture and its policies, from constitutional, legal and bureaucratic perspectives (especially from the Portuguese Republic and Europe at large, and Brazilian experiences) and the consolidation of culture in the legislative dimension.
