The Iberian Meeting of University Radios (“Connecting EU Youth Values Through Media”) was held between November 16 and 19, at the University of Minho in Braga. This initiative was integrated into the program of Braga 2016 – Ibero-American Youth Capital, funded from the Erasmus + Agency of Portugal and Spain and was co-organized by Universitary Radio of Minho (RUM) and CECS. On 17 September (18.00), the RUM issued, in the Social Sciences Institute, a special debate program on the future and challenges of university radio stations. The meeting ended on the afternoon of the 19th, in the same place, with the signature of the plan of intentions for the creation of RUP – Portugal University Radios Association. Over the course of three days, young people from both countries were able to exchange experiences with radio researchers and professionals and also better understand how to organize themselves for applications to European funds.
