The seminar “The LAB and state cultural governance: the process of formalizing social participation in the municipalities of Ceará” will take place on November 12 at 3pm as part of the PolObs Culture 2024 Seminar Cycle – Connecting Doctoral Projects with Cultural Policies. Bruna Nascimento is the guest for this session. She is a doctoral student in Sociology at the Graduate Program of the State University of Ceará, where she is carrying out her doctoral research. The scope of her research is to investigate the relationship between the strengthening of municipal participatory institutions and state cultural governance during the period of organization and implementation of the Aldir Blanc Emergency Law—LAB.
Bruna Nascimento has a master’s degree in Sociology, a degree in Social Sciences, and a doctoral student in sociology in the Postgraduate Program at the State University of Ceará. She works as a volunteer researcher for the Chief Culture Scientist Program. She also works as a cultural producer, specializing in the Escola Livre Gestão, Produção e Políticas Culturais – Ecult. She is a member of the following collectives: Pluriverso, a cultural project that aims to make podcasts about various artistic and cultural languages, adding sociological theory to the debate. Cine Diversas, a women’s collective producing film clubs on the outskirts of Fortaleza, aimed at disseminating audiovisual productions starring women.
