The Permanent Science for (Com) Society Seminar continues its activity on January 19, at 8 pm, with the session “The language of risk in the scope of civil protection in Portugal – the case of forest fires”, led by Sofia Bento, with the participation of António Bento-Gonçalves, a CECS researcher.
António Bento Gonçalves is Professor in the Department of Geography (UMinho) and Researcher at CECS (Center for Studies in Communication and Society) and is currently Director of the Degree in Civil Protection and Territory Management (UMinho) and President of the Portuguese Association of Geographers (APG). His scientific activity focuses on forest fires, natural hazards and erosion processes.
