On January 17, at 3pm (PT), a seminar will be held on “Potentialities and limits of textual analysis programs using Artificial Intelligence”. The event is organized in partnership with the Galabra Network, MigraMediaActs and the Lusophone Virtual Museum and takes place as part of the Communication and Diversity Seminar.
The online session, which will be broadcast via Zoom, will be moderated by Alberto Sá (University of Minho) and will feature interventions by:
Helena G. Do Val and Irene López (University of Santiago de Compostela) – “Exploring Iramuteq: potential and limits in the analysis of literary texts” ;
Yuri Sousa (Federal University of Bahia) – “IATexto: a computer program for analyzing textual data with statistics and machine learning” ;
Luiza Lins (University of Minho) – “BUALA case study: notes on the use of IATexto to identify thematic categories, semantic networks and longitudinal trends”.
