Seminário de Comunicação, Território e Tecnologias

The Communication, Territory and Technologies Seminar will take place on May 6 at 5pm in the ICS meeting room, with the theme “Proximity as a narrative: local media in Andalusia between information and heritage”.

The event aims to reflect on the transformations in the ways in which information is produced, circulated and appropriated in different territorial contexts. In a world marked by accelerated digitalization and the redefinition of local and global dynamics, it is becoming increasingly urgent to understand the role of the media in mediating between communities, spaces and identities. Rocío Morales (University of Málaga) and Mar López Talavera (Complutense University of Madrid) will speak. Through the case of Andalusia, this session explores how local media construct discourses of proximity that articulate information with memory, territory and cultural heritage.
This meeting invites the sharing of interdisciplinary perspectives on the challenges and possibilities facing local media in the face of new technologies and contemporary socio-territorial dynamics.

The session can be followed online via Zoom, here.
