The seventh Doctoral Seminar of Communication Sciences and Cultural Studies of the academic year 2021-2022 will take place on April 22, at 2:30 p.m., in the Engineering Auditorium of the University of Minho. Susana Silva, professor at the University of Minho and the University of Porto, is the guest speaker; “Interviews and Inquiries” is the theme.
Susana Silva, PhD in Sociology, is Invited Assistant Professor at the Institute of Social Sciences (U. Minho) and the Faculty of Medicine (U. Porto). Her research interests include people-centred and integrated care, focusing on the societal and ethical challenges emerging from the uses of reproductive and genetic technologies and on its implications for contemporary modes of governance of research, health regulation and clinical practices. Her current multi- and mixed-methods research encompass sociology and ethics to foster safe, responsible and innovative health technologies and reduce health inequalities.
